Advance Information for Summer 2022 Exams
Our initial impression is that there is not much reduction in content, but the aim is to guide students to focus their revision on particular areas of the specification.
A brief summary of the advance information given for some of our A level subjects can be found below.
In OCR Biology and Chemistry, all six modules in each subject will still be assessed across the three written exams, but with a focus on a select number of sub-topics in each module. In OCR Physics, the same applies, except the advance information does not list any sub-topics from Module 2 – Foundations of physics.
In Edexcel English Literature, for Paper 3, in which students compare an unseen poem with poems from the Anthology, there is a reduced anthology list of 10 poems which students are advised to focus their revision on.
In AQA Psychology, all topics will be assessed, but for the majority of the topics, there will be a focus on three out of six sub-topics. The only exception is the Research Methods topic, for which there is no advance information.
In a number of subjects, the exam boards have listed a selection of sub-topics to be focussed on for each particular paper, although advise that content not listed may still appear in exams.
At Westminster Tutors, we will ensure our A level students receive the best teaching and learning to cover all the specification content required to succeed in the summer exams. As this will be the first time many students will sit formal exams, our teachers will help them prepare for their A levels by developing their exam technique and revision skills.
