End of Term Events

Dec 10, 2021

Well done to all of our students and staff for working so hard this term. Last week, we held mock exams, and it was clear just how serious and focussed our students were.

For this final week of term, we have had a number of festive events to help the students wind down for the Christmas holidays.

On Monday, we had our termly staff vs. students sports match, although this was the first one in 2 years due to the ongoing pandemic! For this term, we opted for football, perhaps unwisely for the staff, as the student team included a semi-professional footballer and hockey goalkeeper. In an attempt to balance out the teams, the student pro was forced to play with his left foot, although that made little difference. Although the game started out 1-1, the students quickly increased their lead, and by the end we had lost count of how many goals the students scored. We look forward to the next sports match, when hopefully the staff will gain an advantage (and some more players…)!

Also this week, our students have put up some decorations to give the college a festive feel. Later this afternoon, we have arranged for the students to go ice-skating at the Natural History Museum, before a mini end of term drinks and nibbles with the staff.

We look forward to seeing everyone back in college in January!
