Westminster Tutors is one of the oldest and best independent sixth form colleges in London. Established in 1934, we are proud to be celebrating 90 years of academic excellence.
Our sixth form students achieve exceptional results because of our unique approach. We teach one-to-one or in very small well-matched groups and each A level retake student’s course is planned according to their individual needs and goals. In general our retake courses are taught one-to-one, meaning we can offer the same modules and a seamless transition for each one of our retake students.
Our superbly qualified teachers know their students really well and lessons are fine-tuned so that each student is able to flourish academically. Our approach also means that teachers are quickly able to target where students have gone wrong and work specifically on improving those areas. In addition to this, our college is unique in offering individual weekly mentoring sessions which support our students in terms of developing study skills and addressing any issues that may have previously held them back.
By the end of their time with us, our A level retake students are happy, confident and ready to take up their places at some of the best universities in the country. This is where we really excel and our UCAS support is second to none. In 2024, already 83% of our A level retake students are confirmed at Russell Group universities, and 88% of our students are confirmed at their first choice university.
In terms of university applications, no other A level retake college can contend with our students’ destinations. 2024 initial data shows the amazing things our retake students achieve after just one year at our wonderful little college:
