English Language A Level & AS Level Courses
English Language is a challenging subject at A level and enables our students to analyse a wide variety of spoken and written forms of English. Students develop an understanding of linguistic features such as phonetics, phonology, morphology and semantics, as well as learning to critically evaluate attitudes towards language. The study of English language also involves close reading and interpretation a range of data, including written texts, transcriptions of speech and media sources.
